Welcome to GiveNKind. We help nonprofit organizations stretch their budgets by providing access to quality donated products from corporate partners.

In 2025, GiveNKind distributed more than $19.24 million in products to nonprofit organizations serving communities throughout Chicagoland. We are proud to help businesses and nonprofits work together to put valuable products to good use.

Use of Products

Products obtained through GiveNKind must be used in furtherance of your organization's charitable mission and programs.

Products may not be:

  • Sold, resold, bartered, or exchanged for goods or services;
  • Used for fundraising activities such as auctions, raffles, or prizes;
  • Distributed to employees, board members, or volunteers for personal benefit unrelated to charitable programs; or
  • Used in a manner inconsistent with applicable laws or GiveNKind policies.

Organizations are responsible for ensuring that products are used appropriately and in accordance with their charitable purpose.

Administrative Fees

GiveNKind charges a modest administrative fee to help recover a portion of the costs associated with receiving, transporting, storing, sorting, and distributing donated products.

Administrative fees support only a portion of our operating costs. GiveNKind also relies on grants, sponsorships, special events, and charitable contributions to make products available at the lowest possible cost to nonprofit organizations.

Product Values

Product values displayed in the catalog are provided for informational and reporting purposes only.

GiveNKind does not guarantee retail value, fair market value, tax value, or replacement value. Organizations should consult their own accounting or tax professionals regarding any reporting requirements.

Payment

Payment by credit card, PayPal, approved gift card, or other authorized payment method is due when an order is placed.

Pickup and Delivery

Organizations are expected to schedule pickup or delivery arrangements at the time an order is placed.

Unless otherwise specified, orders should be picked up within two weeks of the order date.

Delivery services may be available for an additional fee and may be subject to geographic limitations, scheduling availability, or minimum order requirements.

If an organization is unable to keep its scheduled appointment, it should notify GiveNKind as soon as possible.

Orders not picked up within two weeks may be canceled and returned to inventory. Administrative fees paid may be credited to the organization's account, less any applicable restocking, handling, or transportation charges.

Organizations that repeatedly miss appointments or fail to communicate with GiveNKind may have their account suspended.

Product Availability and Order Accuracy

GiveNKind works hard to maintain accurate inventory and product descriptions; however, donated inventory changes frequently and errors occasionally occur.

Product descriptions, images, quantities, colors, sizes, expiration dates, and availability may differ from information displayed in the catalog.

GiveNKind reserves the right to modify, limit, substitute, partially fulfill, cancel, or reallocate products based on inventory availability, donor requirements, transportation considerations, or operational needs.

If GiveNKind is unable to fulfill all or part of an order, the organization will receive a refund or account credit for the affected items.

Organizations should review orders at pickup or delivery and promptly report any discrepancies.

Product Condition and Safety

Products distributed through GiveNKind are donated by third parties and are provided on an "as available" basis.

While GiveNKind makes reasonable efforts to identify damaged, defective, recalled, expired, or otherwise unsuitable products, GiveNKind does not manufacture, test, inspect, certify, or guarantee the condition, safety, quality, or suitability of any product.

Organizations are responsible for inspecting products before use or distribution and for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, manufacturer instructions, and safety requirements.

Nonprofit Partnership Standards

GiveNKind values respectful, collaborative relationships with nonprofit partners.

GiveNKind reserves the right to suspend, limit, or terminate participation in its programs for any lawful reason, including but not limited to:

  • Misuse of products;
  • Providing false or misleading information;
  • Failure to maintain nonprofit eligibility;
  • Failure to pay required fees;
  • Repeated missed appointments or operational noncompliance;
  • Harassment, abusive conduct, or inappropriate treatment of GiveNKind staff, volunteers, donors, or partners; or
  • Violation of GiveNKind policies or program requirements.
